Frequently asked questions

What is the rising sign?

The rising sign, or ascendant, is the zodiac sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the moment and place you were born. It describes how you come across and the first impression you make: the Sun says who you are, the ascendant how people see you arrive.

What is the descendant?

It's the point opposite the ascendant, on the western horizon: the start of the seventh house, the house of relationships and partnerships. It tells what you look for in others, often the qualities you feel are least your own.

Why do I need my exact birth time?

Because the ascendant changes sign about every two hours, and moves a degree roughly every four minutes. Half an hour off can give you the neighbouring sign. The most reliable time is the one on your birth certificate.

What if I don't know my birth time?

Without the time the ascendant can't be calculated reliably. You can still have your birth chart, without houses and ascendant: signs, planets and aspects remain valid.

Is my data stored?

No. Date, time and place are only used for the calculation and are not kept. To find your chart again and see the rest, you can create a profile.
